Group A
Czechia win 3-0 against Ukraine.
Czechia secured a convincing victory over Ukraine in a game that saw two caution cards between both teams in the first and third periods. Despite the efforts by both sides, the score remained deadlocked throughout the first period.

In the second period, Czechia’s Pychova and Novotna struck in succession, giving their team a 2-0 lead. As Ukraine struggled to respond, Czechia’s Dostalova added a third goal mid-way into the 3rd period, sealing the 3:0 victory for her team.

The victory marks a strong performance for Czechia, securing their first win in three matches.

Italy win 2-0 against Portugal.
In the final match of the day, Italy took an early lead with Privitera’s goal in the first period and maintained it until the second period. Penzo scored another goal in the second period that secured the win for Italy.

Portugal struggled to find their footing, failing to score a single goal in the match. Their only notable incident was a yellow card for Marta in the third period.

Italy’s solid defence was key to their performance, the win was their third in three games. Portugal, on the other hand, has two wins in three games.

Group B
Switzerland win 5-1 against England.
The Swiss dominated England taking control from the start, with Inderwildi scoring a brace and Raselli adding a third goal in the first period to give their team a commanding 3-0 lead.

Switzerland continued to press their advantage in the second period, with Bucher scoring a fourth goal and Raselli netting her second of the game to make it 5-0. England struggled to find their footing, and it wasn’t until the third period that they managed to score a late goal through Povey, but Switzerland took the match in a convincing 5:1 victory.

The Swiss team’s dominant performance against England secured their first win in three games.

Spain win 5-1 against Poland.
In their usual fashion, the Spanish team took an early lead in the first period, courtesy of Cris’s goal, and maintained their advantage going into the second period. Paqui doubled their lead early in the second period, but Poland’s Slowy pulled one back to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

However, Spain’s dominance continued in the third period, with Paqui scoring her second goal of the game, followed by strikes from Jessi and Carol Glez, taking the goal tally to 5:1. The Spanish team’s attacking prowess proved too much for Poland, who struggled to contain their opponents.
