Valentine Player ID Cup lands in Florida this weekend!

Many players from the men’s and women’s national teams will be competing

The Valentine Player ID Cup is all ready to kick off at Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida this weekend!

The second tournament of its kind will be played over two days, 20 and 21 February, with the aim of preparing and scouting new players for US national team, ahead of the qualifiers that are coming up this season.

Head Coach of both the men’s and women’s US beach soccer national teams, Francis Farberoff, will be on the side-lines, on the lookout for the USA’s latest beach soccer talent.

The tournament will follow the same structure as the one back in December, whereby four women’s and four men’s teams will vie in groups.

The teams are organised by colours: NBSL Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, and players from all over the country, including California, Virginia and Michigan will be taking part.

Lauren Leslie or Christi Yount from the women’s US national team, as well as Lucas Roque, David Mondragon and Gabriel Silveira from the men’s team will be present.

At a time when live beach soccer is more difficult to come by due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the good news for you is that you can watch the Semi-finals and Finals live through this link on Sunday!
