Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) conducted a successful 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM)
An Annual General Meeting took place at FUFA House – Mengo, Kampala on Sunday 19 September 2021.
The majority of the members keenly followed the AGM proceedings via ZOOM to limit the numbers at the FUFA House, a way to mitigating the spread of the Coronavirus.
The deliberations on the agenda included the approval of the next year’s activity report and budgetary estimate among other aspects in an assembly graced by Africa Beach Soccer Union president Muhmud Edeija as the chief guest while FUFA deputy CEO –Football Decolas Kiiza was in attendance via zoom.
Mutabazi hinted on the new developments intended to boost the growth of beach soccer in Uganda as the game will be spread all over FUFA regions.
“We shall do whatever it takes to implement the FUFA goals (hat-trick) as a way of extending the game of beach soccer to the home stead in Uganda.” Mutabazi noted.
The chief guest, Edeija, Africa Beach Soccer Union president thanked UBSA leadership towards their endless endeavour to develop the game of beach soccer in Uganda and abroad.
“As Africa Beach Soccer Union we’re pleased to associate with such a developing association this can be witnessed by the performance the national team showcased during the AFCON Beach Soccer finals in Saly –Senegal. The leadership at UBSA is driven by the desire to deliver Beach to all stakeholders irrespective of any prevailing situations.” Edeija noted.

FUFA deputy CEO Kiiza saluted the administration of UBSA and all the members for holding an AGM via ZOOM amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
“I want to thank everyone for the AGM organization. The Federation is proud of the organization and achievements of UBSA. I wish to commend and congratulate the UBSA executive for having organized this AGM, it is at the AGM that all stakeholders a able to check on the annual journey of the association so this is a great mile stone reached by UBSA.” Kiiza remarked.
“I again salute the Uganda sand cranes and also Ivan Kintu Bayige for lifting our flag high during the concluded AFCON finals in Senegal. As FUFA, we continue to plan and work together for Beach Soccer development with priority to our regions, among others.” He added.
A total of 215,920,000/= was approved as the total budgetary estimate for the 2021- 2022 season.
