SC Braga win 5-3 against Lenergy Pisa BS.
The Euro Winners Cup 2024 – Men final kicked off for the first period and it was Pisa who took the lead after Edson Hulk was fouled. The resulting free kick was struck into the back of the net. Pedro Mano in the Braga net couldn’t get anywhere near it. With four minutes to play Braga struck back with a goal from Bokinha to get Braga back into the game after an equal first eight minutes. The final piece of action came with three minutes left in the period and the goal went the way of Braga who put themselves 2-1 in front after a goal from Bê Martins. The Portuguese team took a 2-1 lead into the second period of the very tight final.
It was that man Edson Hulk who scored his second and levelled the game for Pisa with just over a minute played in the second period. The game remained level until the final two seconds of the period and the goal went the way of Braga after a powerful bicycle kick from Léo Martins was struck into the near post of Casapieri’s net. Casapieri got a hand onto it but it was too powerful to keep out and Braga had a 3-2 lead going into the final 12 minutes of the intense final.
The final 12 minutes of the Men’s Euro Winners Cup 2024. Filipe Silva doubled Braga’s lead with nine minutes remaining after a well struck long shot which went into Casapieri’s near post to make it 4-2 in favour of Braga. Barsotti gave Pisa a lifeline as he pulled a goal back to see the scoreline at 4-3. The goalscoring wasn’t finished there as Pedro Mano Braga’s goalkeeper, keeps the ball up and from near his goal struck a sweet volley which hits off the post and into the net for Braga with three minutes to play. Casapieri in the Pisa net was at full stretch to try and save it but it was past him in a flash. The full time whistle blew and it was Braga who were crowned champions of the Men’s Euro Winners Cup 2024 in Nazaré. Commiserations to Pisa after back-to-back runners up spots.
Individual awards
During the awards ceremony in Nazaré, three individual awards were given out to the top performers from the women’s competition. The ‘Best goalkeeper’ award was given to Lenergy Pisa BS goalkeeper Leandro Casapieri, the ‘MVP’ award was handed to SC Braga player Filipe Silva and the ‘Top scorer’ award was won by ACD O Sótão’s, Chiky Ardil.

3rd/4th place play-off
ACD O Sótão defeated Recreativo de Huelva 7-4 to claim third position in the Euro Winners Cup 2024, as their opponents finished fourth.
5th/6th place play-off
Falfala KQ BSC won 8-3 against TSOR to finish fifth, whilst TSOR finished sixth.
7th/8th place play-off
ASD Napoli triumphed with a 5-3 victory against Real Münster to finish in seventh place, as the German side finished in eighth place in the competition.
