The trainings were held from 8 to 16 April in the city of Jazan
Beach soccer teams from around the world are holding friendlies and training camps to prepare for the 2022 season.
The Saudi Arabia national beach soccer team, under the supervision of their head coach, Brazilian Joga Zlokovic, underwent an intensive eight-day training camp at the King Faisal Sports City in Jazan.
A total of 15 players took part in the training and, as the camp took place during Ramadan, the team sessions were held in the middle of the night, from 1am until 3am.
They also organised a mini tournament with 12 teams, giving Joga Zlokovic the perfect opportunity to scout new players for the senior team, and begin the formation of the under-20s team, with the support of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).
The first edition of the NEOM Beach Soccer Cup, which took place in Saudi Arabia back in 2019, was the first official competition of the Saudi national team, and they impressively beat China and UAE to finish third.
Now the team are keen to show what they can do in the 2022 season…
