Press conference held ahead of the Americas Winners Cup 2024

The competition is ready to kick off on the 25th November

With the second edition of the Americas Winners Cup just days away, the press conference took place in San Salvador, El Salvador as men’s and women’s teams are ready to compete to become the best of the Americas from the 25th November to the 1st December.

Director of Events for Beach Soccer Worldwide, Josep Ponset started by thanking Ad honorem president of INDES, Yami Bukele and the INDES team for hosting yet another event in collaboration with BSWW, the second of 2024. Ponset continued by complimenting the permanent venue of this year’s competition, Flor Blanca Beach Soccer Stadium, calling it a “spectacular stadium”, and was extremely impressed and appreciative of the development of beach soccer in El Salvador.

Ad honorem president of INDES, Yamil Bukele was extremely excited to be hosting the second edition of the Americas Winners Cup which “brings together the best clubs from all over the continent”, following the success of the inaugural edition in 2023. He highlighted the importance and significance of the competition for beach soccer in El Salvador, and finished by welcoming all of the participating teams and congratulated the Salvadoran teams who will play in the competition, explaining that they “have done a great job in the national beach soccer leagues, and that makes them deserving of representing the country.”
