Josep Ponset visited Batumi ahead of July's competition
Ahead of the Euro Beach Soccer League Georgia 2024 – Division B, Beach Soccer Worldwide Director of Events, Josep Ponset visited Batumi for a site inspection and joined Ilya Volodarskiy – Event Coordinator, Ucha Abramishvili – Director of Batumi sport centre, and Sergo Kakabadze – Deputy Director of Municipality for Infrastructure and improvement division, as preparations continued surrounding the competition which is set to take place in Batumi, Georgia from 17th-21st July, as the competition draws closer.
Key topics such as the construction of the stadium, the development of beach soccer in Georgia, and details regarding the event itself were all discussed.
Members of Ajarian Football Federation were also present, as Irakli Totladze – President of Ajarian Football Federation and Jaba Chanturia – President of Ajarian Beach Soccer Federation were in attendance.
Importantly for the development of Georgian beach soccer, key figures including Kakha Chumburidze – First Vice President of Georgian Football Federation and Salome Kikalishvili – Assistant to the First Vice President – Grassroots, Regional and Youth Football Coordinator were present throughout the visit.
Ramazi Gogitidze and Jaba Tugushi, who are heavily involved with the construction of the brand new beach soccer stadium for the event in Batumi, also made appearances.
