Euro Winners Cup 2024 groups drawn

The groups for this year's competitions have been officially announced

The fate of the 60 clubs participating in this year’s Euro Winners Cup was decided on Thursday, as the official draw took place.

For the Women’s Euro Winners Cup 2024, 24 clubs from across 10 different European countries will participate as the teams have been divided into six groups consisting of four clubs. As a restriction contained within the draw procedure, two clubs from the same nation were unable to be drawn against one another.

In the draw, one women’s team was referred to as ‘Team 24’, as the club will be defined shortly.

The top seeds were placed in positions A1 to F1 and contained host city club ACD “O Sótão” (POR) in A1 and defending champions CD Higicontrol Melilla (ESP) placed in B1, as well as Marseille Beach Team (FRA), BS Zeeland (NED), Cagliari BS (ITA) and SC Rappiranhas (SWI) in places C1 to F1 – as the highest ranked teams according to the BSWW Women’s club ranking.

The Men’s Euro Winners Cup draw was made up of 36 teams located across 23 nations, which have been evenly separated into nine groups of four clubs. Identically to the women’s competition, the same restriction was applied to the men’s draw, as ACD “O Sótão” (POR) as the host city club, Falfala KQ BSC (ISR) as Euro Winners Cup 2023 champions were seeded in to positions A1 and B1, as SC Braga (POR), Farmae Viareggio BS (ITA), Recreativo de Huelva (ESP), Rostocker Robben e.V (GER), Minots de Marseille (FRA), Rosh Haayin BSC (ISR) and Napoli Patron (GRE) were seeded into positions C1 to I1 in the draw – based on the highest-ranked nations from the EWC ranking.

With great group stage matchups in the women’s and men’s Euro Winners Cup Nazaré 2024 competitions, we can’t wait for action to begin at the Estádio do Viviero Jordan Santos.

The men’s competition kicks off on 9th June and the Women’s Euro Winners Cup will start on the 10th June, with both of these tournaments ending on 16th June.

See you soon in Nazaré!
