Semi-finals
Portugal win 4-3 against Spain.
In a closely contested semifinal match, Portugal outlasted Spain 4-3 to secure a spot in the final. Portugal nets the first goal through Marta’s strike early in the first period, but Spain responded with Carol Glez’s equaliser. Natalia’s goal in the first minute of the second period put Spain ahead, but Portugal’s Cristiana and Ema scored to take a 3-2 lead.

The third period saw Spain’s Manau score to level the match, but Cristiana’s second goal of the game sealed the win for Portugal. Both teams received two yellow cards each, highlighting the intense competition.

Spain’s efforts were valiant, but Portugal’s resilience paid off and sets them up for an exciting final showdown.

Poland win 3-0 against Italy.
Poland shut out the host nation Italy, to reach the final. The match began with Gozddek’s goal in the first period, giving Poland an early lead. Italy struggled to find their footing, earning two caution cards in the opening period.

The second period saw neither team score, with Italy unable to capitalise on their chances. Poland, however, seized control in the third period, with Matusiak and Sudyk finding the net to seal a 3-0 win.

Poland’s victory sets them up for a thrilling final, while Italy will aim to regroup in the third-place playoff.

5th-8th place play-offs
Ukraine win 5-3 against Switzerland.
The match began with Ukraine’s Bavzeniuk scoring in the first period, followed by another goal in the second period, giving Ukraine a 2-0 lead.

The third period saw Ukraine extend their lead with goals from Yurasova and Kostiuk, making it 4-0. Switzerland finally found the back of the net through Bucher, Flury and Schenk goals, but was not enough, as Bavzeniuk’s third goal of the match sealed a 5-3 win for the Ukrainians.

Switzerland struggled to find their rhythm until the final period. Despite a late surge, they couldn’t overcome Ukraine’s strong lead, ultimately succumbing to defeat.

Czechia win 9-2 against England.
Czechia delivered a crushing 9-2 victory over England showcasing their attacking prowess. The Czechs stormed to a 2-0 lead in the first period, courtesy of Kozarova and Dostalova’s goals.

The second period saw Czechia’s dominance continue, with both Novotna and Matejkova scoring a brace. England finally found the back of the net with Sara Catriona’s goal, but they also conceded an own goal, closing the second period with a 7-1 scoreline.

In the third period, Czechia’s Portychova and Chocholousova added two more goals, taking their tally to 9. England’s Sara Catriona scored again, but the match was already beyond reach with the Czechs taking a convincing victory.
