The 12 participating sides were drawn into three groups of four teams
Concacaf has conducted the official draw for the 2021 edition of the Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship this Monday. The competition is scheduled to take place in Alajuela, Costa Rica from May 17-23.
Twelve Concacaf Member Associations will compete in the tournament that will determine the two Concacaf representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Moscow Russia from August 19-29, 2021.
The Concacaf Beach Soccer Rankings as of December 19 were used to distribute the teams into four pots, with the draw dividing the teams into three groups of four teams.
The 2021 CBSC will begin with a group stage, followed by a knockout stage. After round-robin play, the top two finishers in each group and the two best third place teams will advance to the knockout stage. The two teams that reach the Final will qualify for the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Following the results of Monday’s draw, the three groups are as follows:
Group A: Mexico, Panama, Guadeloupe, Belize
Group B: El Salvador, Bahamas, Guatemala, Dominican Republic
Group C: United States, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands
