Logodor claim Women’s All-Russian Beach Soccer Cup

The Muscovite side upset Zvezda in a final that had to be decided from the penalty kick spot

The players and coaches of Logodor will have a special memory of this 2021 International women’s Day, as this 8th of March was the day in which they snatched the Women’s All-Russian Beach Soccer Cup. 

The Muscovite side, led by  the competition’s MVP and Top Scorer Varvara Bychovka, upset the BSC Zvezda in a truly hard fought final in Korolev. Her two goals equalized Alekseeva’s and Petrova’s efforts for the girls from Saint Petersburg, and the game went to the penalty kick shootout. 

In the shootout, Logodor’s goalkeeper Ekaterina Komrakova became the hero for her side, saving two of the Zvezda’s attempts to get Logodor the first ever Women’s all-Russian Cup.

In the game for the third place, again Moscow prevailed over Saint Petersburg, with Strogino running past Groza to clinch the bronze.
