The 2022 edition was the sixth time that the club claimed the national title
It was a record sixth title for the team from the Belgian capital on Sunday as NewTeam Brussels kept hold of the national beach soccer league title.
NewTeam managed to retain their crown against ES Brainoise in the final over the weekend, edging a thrillingly tight match by three goals to two.
EC Bruxelles took bronze after beating FC Genappe in another tight game on the final day, winning 2-1 in the third-place play-off.
Putting in incredible performances for the Euro Winners Cup regulars, the tournament MVP trophy was awarded to Anis Ennya (NewTeam) and the Best Goalkeeper was François Cordenier (Legend’s Anderlecht).
The event was held on the sand of Knokke, Belgium, between 22 and 24 July.
