The eight participating teams will know their opponents for this year’s edition
The draw for the group stage of the men’s NEOM Beach Soccer Cup 2022 will take place Thursday 27 October at 12.00 (UTC+2) and will be streamed live on the YouTube channel of Beach Soccer Worldwide.
The countries competing in this year’s edition are hosts Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Brazil, England, Japan, Oman, Paraguay, and the United Arab Emirates.
These eight teams will be divided in two groups of four, with Saudi Arabia as hosts taking the top seed position in Group A, and Brazil as the best BSWW-ranked team taking the top seed position in Group B.
Japan and Paraguay are the two other teams that compose the Pot 1 as the best BSWW-ranked of the remaining teams.
In Pot 2, Oman, UAE, Bahrain and England are the teams to draw.
According the draw rules two CONMEBOL teams can’t be drawn in the same group, and each group can only have two WAFF-affiliated teams (Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates).
The NEOM Beach Soccer Cup 2022 will be played between 9 and 12 November and is part of the NEOM Beach Games 2022.
