Schirinzi’s men defeated Delta 3-0 in the final on Sunday
Kristall have returned to the top of the Russian beach soccer, dethroning Lokomotiv Moscow with a win against Delta in the final on Sunday.
The deciding day of the Superfinal of the Russian Beach Soccer Championship took place at the Dynamo Beach Sports Centre on Sunday 4 July, where Kristall’s win saw them claim an historic sixth national title.
It was goals from Brazilian duo Mauricinho and Rodrigo, as well as a calm penalty from Bryshtel, which saw the men in orange reclaim the crown with a 3-0 win over Delta.
Delta did however claim one prize, that of the Most Valuable Player, which went to Dmitry Vasiliev.
In the third-place playoff, the 2020 champions Lokomotiv took on city rivals Spartak in a 13-goal thriller, which saw the Railwaymen take bronze with a tight 7-5 win. Lokomotiv also claimed the Top Scorer in Boris Nikonorov and Best Goalkeeper of the Superfinal, Stanislav Kosharny.
Lex secured fifth place with a convincing victory over local Moscow club CSKA.
