Uruguay and Ecuador also won on Matchday 3 of the tournament
The Copa América Fútbol Playa 2022 continues at the Estádio Mundialista Los Pynandi and yesterday both Chile and Venezuela achieved their second wins in the group stage.
Group A
Diego San Martín continued in prolific goalscoring form, this time netting a hat-trick in Chile’s 6-2 win against Colombia. As for Ecuador, the Tricolor had to take it to penalties to beat Argentina after a three-goals draw in regular time, with all of Ecuador’s goals signed by Jorge Bailón.
Group B
A brace by José Semprun led the way for Venezuela to beat Peru 3-2, a result that sees them secure the 2nd place in the group. In the other match of the group, Uruguay achieved a convincing 5-2 win against Bolivia in what was La Celeste’s first win in the tournament.
With the competition taking a break today, the action resumes tomorrow. Uruguay and Venezuela are the first ones to play, followed by Ecuador against Colombia, Bolivia against Brazil and finally Argentina against the hosts Paraguay.
