Swiss coach Angelo Schirinzi is in attendance at the course in Prampram
A FIFA course for beach soccer coaches and technical instructors is taking place in Ghana this week.
The one-week course, in which 30 participants are in attendance, was officially opened by the German Technical Director of the GFA Bernard Lippert on Tuesday.
Overseeing the proceedings is former Swiss beach soccer player and current Nati national team coach Angelo Schirinzi, who is widely regarded as the man who introduced professional beach soccer to Switzerland and one of the best coaches in the world. He has also established beach soccer technical foundations in countries such as Tahiti and the Bahamas.
Schirinzi commented that the program was, “a fantastic course with fully motivated participants with a good coaching level.”
Also underway at the same time at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence, is a FIFA Beach Soccer Referees course which is being led by veteran technical instructor Ben Chabaan from France.
A specially designed beach soccer pitch has been constructed by the GFA (Ghana Football Association) exclusively for the course and future beach soccer activities.
Also present and at the course is Beach Soccer Committee Chairman Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah, Ghana Referees Head Alex Kotey and newly-formed Beach Soccer Clubs Union Director Kusi Gyamfi Awere.
