Group A
Spain win 5-2 against Germany.
In a thrilling encounter, Spain came from behind to defeat Germany 5-2 in their opening Group match. The first period saw Germany take the lead through Olli’s late strike, and the score remained 1-0 until the second period. Spain’s fortunes changed with the own goal by Domingo late in the 2nd period, as Suli Batis began the goal tally in favour of Spain.


The third period saw Spain dominating the game, as Ramy’s hat-trick and Jose Arias’s goal pulled Spain away from their opponents to seal the win. Germany struggled to contain the Spanish attack, but the 5-2 scoreline reflected Spain’s superiority. With this convincing win, Spain asserts their title aspirations, while Germany faces an uphill battle to recover from this setback.

Notably, the match was played with a high level of sportsmanship, with no caution cards issued to either team.

Italy win 6-2 against Estonia.
Italy concluded Day 1 of the Superfinal with a convincing victory against Estonia. The match began with a blistering start from Italy, as Giordani netted a goal just a minute into the first period, followed by Remedi’s goal doubling their lead. Estonia struggled to contain Italy’s attacking flair, and the second period saw Zurlo, D’Agostino, and Casapieri all find the net for Italy.


Estonia’s Ragnar managed to score a goal late in the second period, but Italy’s dominance continued in the third period. Estonia’s struggles were compounded by an own goal two minutes into the final period, which further gave Italy the lead, as a late strike from Estonia’s Lilleorg was not enough to change the game in their favour.

The match recorded two yellow cards issued to Estonia’s Lepik and Marmor.

Group B
Belarus win 9-6 against Switzerland.
The match got off to a frenetic start, with seven goals scored in the first period alone. Switzerland took an early lead through Eliott’s goal 3 min into the game, and Ott followed with another goal before Hapon could give Belarus their first goal halfway into the 1st Period. The teams traded goals throughout the period, with Belarus holding a slender 4-3 advantage at the break.


The second period saw Belarus extend their lead, with Piatrouski and Hapon finding the net. Switzerland struggled to contain the Belarusian attack, and despite a late surge with Hodel’s effort adding a goal for the Swiss, they trailed 6-4 at the end of the second period. The final period saw both teams put in more effort, with Belarus emerging victorious 9-6.

The match was an intense and entertaining affair, but Belarus’s Piatrouski and Ryabko’s brace and clinical finishing proved the difference.

Moldova win 4-3 against France.
In a pulsating match that saw the teams level at 3-3 after regular time. The first period ended goalless, but the second period burst into life with a goal each for France and Moldova in quick succession just within a minute into the game. Florea, Garanovschi and Sîrghei scored for Moldova, while Basquaise netted for France, leaving the score 3-1 at the break.


The third period saw Salim and Varrel’s goal for France levelling up the game 3:3 in just 2 minutes left to play in the final period, sending the match into extra time. Moldova seized power in the extra time to claim victory with Popescu’s goal, a hard-fought one, taking 2 points from the match.

The match was marked by a series of yellow cards, with France receiving five and Moldova two, while Turta’s red card for Moldova added to the drama.

Group C
Poland win 4-1 against Denmark.
The Polish side took an early lead through Brochocki’s first-period strike, and Błaszczuk doubled the advantage in the second period. Wegeberg pulled one back for Denmark, but Brochocki’s second goal and Niesler’s late strike sealed the win for Poland.

The match was marked by a series of yellow cards, with Denmark ‘s No.8 player receiving a caution early in the first period. Poland’s Błaszczuk, Gajda, and Brochocki also received yellow cards in the second and third periods, respectively. Despite the disciplinary issues, Poland maintained their composure and control, outscoring their opponents in every period.

The win gives Poland a strong start in Group B, while Denmark will look to bounce back in their next match.

Portugal win 9-1 against Czechia.
Portugal dominated Czechia from start to finish in their Group C opener. Bê Martins opened the scoring just seconds into the match, and Pintado’s brace gave Portugal a 3-0 lead by the end of the first period. The Portuguese onslaught continued in the second period, with five more goals, including a second strike from Jordan and a goal from Leo Martins.

Czechia’s lone goal came courtesy of Hurab late in the second period, but it was little consolation against the Portuguese tidal wave. Algarvio added the ninth goal for Portugal with 4 minutes left to play in the third period, sealing the win.

The match saw only one caution card, issued to Portugal’s Lourenço, as the Czechia team struggled to contain their opponents’ relentless attack. Portugal’s clinical finishing and dominant performance have sent a clear message to other teams in the Superfinal.
