Group A
Lithuania finish top
Lithuania beat England 4-2.

The opening match saw Lithuania, who knew a victory in normal time would crown them group winners, face England who looked to secure the points to keep their chance of finishing in the top two and their semi-final qualification hopes alive.

It was England who broke the deadlock in this Group A fixture, as Clarke found the only goal of the opening period from a free-kick.

Despite the speedy England lead, Makutunovičius netted a double in the second phase of play to give the Lithuanians the 2-1 advantage with only one period remaining.

The match was level early in the third as Day struck for the Englishmen, but Giedraitis regained the Lithuanian advantage, before Makutunovičius found his third.

Three wins from three in the group stages for Lithuania, as the victory secured first place in Group A.

Czechia go through
Czechia win 8-1 against Slovakia.

The score read 2-0 to Czechia after 12 minutes played in the encounter, as Chvostek put the ball in the back of his own net, before Salák scored the second for the Czechs.

Czechia found another three goals in the second period courtesy of Trampota, Vyhnal and Pekárek, as Šmálik scored Slovakia’s first goal of the match.

The final period saw Vyhnal and Salák complete their braces, alongside a goal from their Czechia teammate, Valeš.

This victory for Czechia saw them qualify for the semi-finals, finishing second place in Group A.

Group B
Sweden score five in first victory
Sweden win 5-1 against Malta.

Boström scored the only goal of the opening period, finding the net for Sweden with just over four minutes played in their final group stage fixture.

The Swedish lead increased twofold with a minute played in the second period as Olofsson struck. Johagen’s brace made the score 4-0, before Micallef pulled one back for the Maltese side.

Johagen netted Sweden’s fifth of the match for his hat-trick. Despite the victory, it wasn’t enough for the Swedes to qualify for the semi-finals as Norway and Georgia had already accumulated six points in Group B.

A battle for first place in Group B
Norway win 5-3 against Georgia.

Gaare scored the one and only goal of the first period to send the Norwegians ahead, as they looked to secure top spot in Group B.

Elverum’s brace gave his nation a three-goal advantage over the Georgians in the second period, before Georgia’s Diakvnishvili cut the deficit to two before the period came to its end.

In the third period, goals from Salveson and Rasch put Norway 5-1, but Jalagania and Shamiladze meant that the score finished 5-3.

A first place finish for the Norwegians in Group B, as Georgia finished in second.
