Cali BSC and FBS FC win the maiden US NBSL

International players from around the world competed in Florida over the weekend


National Beach Soccer league held its inaugural club event over the weekend, 8 and 9 January, in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.

Clubs from Florida, California, Virginia Beach, Michigan as well as Toronto and Bahamas competed in the Men’s and Women’s Pro Division, in addition to the U9 to U12 boys and girls Youth Divisions.

The trophy in the women’s tournament was lifted by Cali BSC from San Francisco, California. US National Team players Ali Hall, Kilee Quigley and Jeane Susai Warp made strong statements in the event by beating Coastal United of Virginia Beach 3-2 in this championship showdown.

Portuguese international Luisa Mesa contributed to the win.

In the men’s side FBS FC of Miami, Florida took home the gold by beating Toronto BSC 7-2 in the final.

Led by US NT players Conner Rezende, Nicolas Perea and Fredo Dilbert, FBS FC overran Toronto BSC in the final match. Colombian International Edu Lopes and El Salvadorian Frank Velasquez were in the ranks of this international and impressive squad.
