Germany and UAE will battle for third place

Group A
Germany edge past England
Germany win 5-4 against England.

Olli’s own goal sent England ahead in the fixture, but the German’s made their way back into the match through goalkeeper, Ebener as his shot from range found its way in after a deflection.

It was bright start for the Englishmen in at the start of the second period as Clarke netted a rapid brace to give his nation a two-goal advantage. However, Germany refused to back down, scoring two goals of their own from Engelhardt and Thürk to make the scores all square after 24 minutes played.

Petry gave Germany the lead in the match in the third period, as England goalkeeper, Jackson put his own net to make the score 4-3. Younie pulled one back for the English side, but Germany held on for the three points.

Maximum points for Japan
Japan defeat Saudi Arabia 5-1.

A stunning free-kick from Mubarak put the host nation in front early in the opening minute of the first period, but the in-form Japanese side found the leveler as Kibune tucked the ball home at the near post.

The second phase of play belonged to Japan as they added four goals to their goalscoring tally without conceding. Akaguma, Matsuda and Yamada all got their names on the scoresheet, whilst Kibune completed a birthday brace.

Neither side struck in the final period, as Japan finished the group stage with a perfect nine points.

Group B
UAE record second victory
UAE beat Türkiye 4-2.

UAE drew first blood in the encounter as Ali made the score 1-0 with less than four minutes played in the first period. Emrah brought the Turkish team right back into the match minutes later, but Abbass restored the lead for UAE with two minutes remaining in the period.

Ali scored his brace at the end of the second period which was the only goal of the period, meaning UAE were two goals ahead of their opponents with one period to play.

Waleed Beshr fired in the fourth for UAE in the third period, as Efe Lorenzo’s goal ended up being just a consolation.

Brazil book their place in the final
Brazil win 8-2 against Spain.

Brazil took the lead through with less than three minutes left in the opening, but the joy was short lived as Batis found the equaliser moments after. However, Ze Lucas ensured Brazil took a lead into the break, scoring with less than a minute left in the period.

It was a dominant display in the second period from the Brazilians, scoring four times with Mauricinho capturing a brace in the process, as Otero scored Spain’s only goal in the period.

Edson Hulk and Mauricinho both completed their hat-tricks in the third period, capping off a great run in the group stages for Brazil.
