The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) and Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) carried out a successful workshop with a large number of participants from the national associations in the West Asian region.

The workshop covered many topics related to the responsibilities of beach soccer referees, the laws of the game, as well as its new amendments and instructions. The valuable and informative presentations were delivered by FIFA refereeing officials, Michele Conti and Ibrahim Al Mansoori over two days via video conference.

Moreover, the workshop also included a presentation of refereeing cases, in conjunction with the opening of discussion between the lecturers and participants concerning the topics discussed.

Orouba Al Hussaini, Director of Administrative Affairs of WAFF, commented that the workshop comes as a continuation of the series of cooperation between the federation and BSWW and part of the courses that will be organised within the educational strategy prepared by the federation and the organisation for the development of beach soccer in the West Asian region.

Building on these points, BSWW vice-president, Gabino Renales, indicated that the workshop comes with the aim of providing more information about the game, thus contributing to its development in the WAFF region.

He stressed that BSWW continues to work with WAFF to harness its expertise in this field, implement comprehensive development programs and provide knowledge and support to member associations. He pointed out that a workshop for the development of coaches was held in August 2021, in addition to the other workshop held alongside the second WAFF Championship.
