Hosts Argentina defeat Paraguay to face Brazil in the Juegos Suramericanos de Playa Rosario 2019 final
On Friday, Brazil and Argentina won their semi-final ties against Paraguay and Colombia to progress to the final of the Juegos Suramericanos de Playa Rosario 2019.
The final will be held at 14:15 (GMT-3) at the Estadio Rojo in Rosario. Colombia and Paraguay will also meet in the play-off for third-place.
In their semi-final tie, Gilberto Costa’s Brazil defeated a dangerous Colombian side, who put four goals past the world champions, to make it to the final.
Argentina had a more nervous passage to join their old rivals in the final two, as just a single goal was all that won them the game, in a 2-1 victory over Paraguay.
Elsewhere, a tense penalty shootout saw Peru take up seventh place against Chile, while Guyana beat Venezuela by four goals to three to claim ninth.
Saturday’s final represents a classic footballing rivalry, as Argentina face Brazil on home sand…but who will seize the 2019 Suramericanos title?
