Two nations from Group A will secure World Cup places tomorrow

Group A
Italy win 9-3 against Belarus.
In the second Group A match between Italy and Belarus, the Italians appeared to have come with determination for victory, as the three goals recorded in the first period were in their favour. Fazzini, D’Agostino, and Bertacca were all on target for the Italian 3-0 lead.
Hapon’s goal reduced the deficit for Belarus, but the Italian side was more determined. They netted two goals to increase their tally to six, including an own goal by the Belarusians.
With a dominant 6-1 scoreline entering the final period, Chaikouski and Novikau’s goals attempted a comeback for Belarus. However, the Italians fired three more goals. Remedi’s strike and Zurlo’s brace ensured an emphatic 9-3 win for Italy, earning their first victory in this phase.
Switzerland win 4-2 against Denmark.
Switzerland secured a thrilling victory over Denmark in a tightly contested Group A match. The Swiss side edged ahead late in the first period, to a 1-0 lead into the break.
In the second period, Denmark rallied with two late goals from Damm and Stubgaard, briefly claiming a 2-1 advantage entering the third period.
However, Switzerland’s Spacca equalised early in the third, while Eliott and Hodel sealed the 4-2 win with decisive strikes.
Group B
Portugal win 6-3 against France.
The first period of the Group B clash between Portugal and France witnessed an explosive six-goal frenzy. Portugal emerged 4-2 goals ahead. Pintado, Jordan, and Bernardo scored for Portugal, aided by France own goal. Laassami netted a brace for France.
In the second period, Bê Martins extended Portugal’s lead. And another French own goal increased Portugal’s advantage to 6-2. Gosselin pulled one back for France, but they still trailed 6-3.
The third period saw no further goals, and Portugal secured a convincing 6-3 victory, which earned them six points to clinch the first European spot at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025.
Spain win 5-3 against Poland.
The last match of the day between Spain and Poland was anticipated to be keenly contested. Poland’s Błaszczyk netted a goal early in the first period, but an own goal in favour of Spain levelled the game 1-1 entering the second period.
Suli Batis’ strike two minutes into the second period gave Spain a temporary 2-1 lead. However, Brochocki netted a brace for Poland to take 3-2 lead in the period.
The third and final period saw Spain unleashed three goals. Chiky Ardil’s brace and Kuman’s goal secured a 5-3 victory for Spain, which earned them the second slot to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025.
