Portugal bend Poland in double friendly

The 2015 World Champions hosted the Poles in a training camp Figueira da Foz

Portugal and Poland squared off in a double friendly this weekend in Buarcos, Figueira da Foz (Portugal), with the hosts securing two consistent wins.

Poland have been having a training camp in Portugal for some days, and concluded their trip with two friendly games, on Friday and on Saturday, against the 2015 World Champions.

In the first game, held on Friday, Portugal overcame Poland’s dynamic physical display, and sealed a 6-3 win.

The Poles were an uncomfortable opponent, getting ahead on the score on two occasions to lead 3-2, but the Equipa das Quinas turned score around with four goals in the last stage to prevail.

Second game was not that balanced, and Portugal bent Poland with a wider 9-2 win.

Leo Martins (3), André Gonçalves, Jordan Santos (2), Madjer (2) and Ricardo Ferraz, who was making his debut for the National side hit for Portugal.

Pietrzkiewicz e Daniluk replied for the Central European side, but their efforts were far not enough to contest the Portuguese dominance.
