Venezuela reach six points at the Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025

Group A
Bolivia secured their first victory of the Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025, beating Ecuador 3-2 in extra-time. Ahead of extra-time, both teams only managed to score in the second period of the match with Zárate giving Bolivia the lead and Yagual netting the equaliser for the Ecuadorians. Despite Zárate finding the net in the additional period to put Bolivia back ahead, Lara and Chávez both found the target to give Ecuador the two points.

An intense second match from Group A on Matchday 3 saw Uruguay come out on top on penalties against Colombia, after the teams couldn’t be separated at 5-5 following extra-time. Uruguay found themselves moments away from defeat, but late strikes from Ortíz and Miranda took the match to extra-time, before Moline made the decisive save in the penalty-shootout to give his nation the victory. 

Group B
Venezuela increased their points tally to six following a 5-3 triumph over Peru. Venezuela’s Alexander Vaamonde scored himself a brace in the fixture and with the teams heading into the final period on level terms, strikes from Betancourt and Pérez put the match to bed. A second victory of the competition for Venezuela, with Peru still looking for their first win.

After suffering defeat in their opening match of the competition, Paraguay bounced back with a 2-1 victory against Argentina in Group B. Rolón’s long-range strike was nodded home by Barrios to break the deadlock for the Paraguayans, as Gigena levelled the scoring from the penalty spot before the end of the first period. Joaquin Molas’ side did enough to clinch victory in the match, with the final goal coming in the second period, courtesy of Carballo’s converted spot kick.
