The Brazilian side lift their fifth continental title
Vasco da Gama once again proved why they are one of the great continental powers in beach soccer. In an all-Brazilian final, the Rio de Janeiro side defeated Sampaio Corrêa 8-2 to lift the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores de Fútbol Playa, further cementing their legacy as the competition’s most successful club.
With attacking firepower, experience and complete control throughout the final, Vasco secured their fifth Libertadores crown and became champions for the second consecutive year for the second time in their history.
It was a flawless campaign from the Brazilian giants, who finished the tournament with a 100% record. During the group stage, Vasco defeated C.A. Argentino 7-2, overcame Dávila FC by the same scoreline, and beat Guaicamacuto FC 8-5.
In the quarter-finals, Vasco produced one of the most emphatic victories of the tournament with a 17-3 win over Academia Tito Drago. The semi-finals then brought a decisive clash against Sportivo Luqueño, finalists in the previous edition. Vasco edged a thrilling contest 6-5 to book their place in Sunday’s final.
