Italy and Portugal earn first points in Division A, too, as Turkey and Israel get on top of Division B in this second EBSL stage
Ukraine virtually in the Superfinal
The most tyrant version of Ukraine ran past the Netherlands in the game opening the Division A contest in this Euro Beach Soccer League Terracina 2013. The loud victory has the Ukrainian side virtually qualified for this season?s EBSL Superfinal, having seized nine points so far and banking on a really favourable goal-average.
After being denied the glory in the first stage of the current European League they hosted in Kiev a couple of weeks ago, the Ukrainian?s go to Italy with one idea in mind: making the most of their possibilities to be in the continental decider next August.
Kucherenko?s side hit the sand in the Rive di Traiano in full gas, bringing a terribly difficult time for the Orange from the beginning to the end of the match. Yet in the first two minutes of the game, Zborovskyi and I. Borsuk had the score unbalanced with an early 2-0, with Zborovskiy to widen the gap with two more hits to round a brilliant performance today.
When Ax hit for the Dutch side, the game was already too much on Ukrainian hands, something further confirmed by a blasting 4-0 run in the last stage that clearly sealed the win for Ukraine.
Goals: 1-0: Zborovskyi, min. 11 (1); 2-0: I.Borsuk, min. 10 (1); 3-0: Zborovskyi, min. 10 (2); 4-0: Zborovskyi, min. 8 (3); 4-1: Ax, min. 4 (2); 5-1: Sydorenko, min. 9 (3); 6-1: Riabchuk, min. 7 (3); 7-1: Riabchuk, min. 6 (3); 8-1: A. Borsuk, min. 0 (3);
Narrow win gets Portugal first points in the season
It was never easy for the Portuguese side, but Narciso?s side accomplished the mission of clinching the first points at stake in this Group A of the Euro Beach Soccer League Terracina 2013, following a narrow win over Belarus. The Lusitanians were faced to an early 0-1, and it was not only after a thorough combat that they ended up beating the mighty Belarusian.
Bogaichuk?s side could not find a sweeter beginning to their first ever Division A experience than the one brought on by Miranovich. Portugal had to fight against that without their sharpest weapon, Madjer, sidelined due to an injury, and it took them a while to level things back. It was not until midway second period that Coimbra would net the equalizer for the Portuguese side.
With the forces in the score alike, Portugal will gear up to try and snatch Belarus the points, something they would do thanks to Alan?s winner.
Goals: 0-1: Miranovich, min. 10 (1); 1-1: Coimbra, min. 7 (2); 2-1: Alan, min. 10 (3);
German reaction against Russia fall one goal short
Germany was close to upset Russia in this opening day in the Euro Beach Soccer League stage in Terracina (Italy). Only one goal ended up making the difference for the current EBSL runner-ups.
Despite the World Champions seemed to get things fairly under control with the 0-3 at the beginning of the last period, an amazing response by the Mannschaft got them on the fight again.
Two hits by Svenson right after Shishin?s second hit made the score 2-3. Eremeev seemed to cut the German reaction before it went too far, immediately following the Teutonic second hit, but Boringshulte?s side would not give up. In the last minute of the game, Keppinho brilliantly volleyed to fire the 3-4 home. It was only seconds to the hooter, though, and the remaining time was not enough for Germany to achieve what would have been a shocking equalizer.
Goals: 0-1: Peremitin, min. 11 (1); 0-2: Shishin, min. 3 (2); 0-3: Shishin, min. 10 (3); 1-3: Svenson, min. 8 (3); 2-3: Svenson, min. 7 (3); 2-4: Eremeev, min. 7 (3); 3-4: Keppinho, min. 0 (3)
Solid win by Italy in front of own crowd
Italy got off into this year?s Euro Beach Soccer League with the right foot, after a convincing win over Romania in this opening day in Terracina. The hosts, backed by a boisterous ?tifosi?, as National Coach Massimiliano Esposito anticipated yesterday, gave the Romanians little chance.
Right in front of his own crowd, the Terracina player Alessio Frainetti found an excellent moment and an excellent place to score his first goal ever with the Italian national team. The number 20 swept the Transalpine ahead midway first half, with Corosiniti to follow before the hooter to get Esposito?s side in solid command.
Ionel Poste seemed to get Romania back on the fight, but his 2-1 was replied with two new hits by the Azzirri, with Platania and Palmacci widening the distance in the score to 4-1 in the beginning of the last stage. The Carpathian top star, Maci, pulled another one back for his side, but the hosts would never let their attempts any further, and closed all accesses to Spada?s dominions to seal their first victory in this season?s Euro Beach Soccer League.
Goals: 1-0: Frainetti, min. 7 (1); 2-0: Corosiniti, min. 2 (1); 2-1: I. Poste, min. 7 (2); 3-1: Platania, min. 11 (3); 4-1: Palmacci, min. 10 (3); 4-2: Maci, min. 4 (3);
DIVISION B
Turkey bags first points in Terracina
The Turkish National side earned the first units at stake in the Division B pool of the Euro Beach Soccer League Terracina 2013, following a 1-3 win over Hungary. Turkey, who were a Division A team just a couple of years ago, wants to secure a place into the fight for another ticket to the continental elite, and they know that no points can be missed if they target the Promotion final of Torredembarra.
Not many goals were witnessed in this contested battle between the Turkish and the Magyar, with the first hit coming only in the last stage of the second period, thanks to Onur. Hungary tried not to lose face to the game, and Ughy equalized the score just seconds into the third period. The balanced struggle went on for some more minutes, until Adil and Bariç would seal the win for Turkey with two hits midway last leg.
Goals: 0-1: Onur, min. 4 (2); 1-1: Ughy, min. 11 (3); 1-2: Adil, min. 6 (3); 1-3: Bariç, min. 4 (3);
Israel hammers Azerbaijan to top Division B pool
A blunt 7-1 over Azerbaijan got Israel on top of the table in the Division B pool of this Euro Beach Soccer League stage taking place in Terracina (Italy) this weekend. Benyamin Lam?s side put the Azeri goal into siege rather early, with Yatim and Badash sweeping the Mediterranean side 2-0 ahead by the seventh minute of the game. Those two hits reassured the Israeli dominion, as goals kept falling on their side of the score.
The game was already decided when Ramil pulled the first and only goal back for the Azeri, taking a penalty kick for the 6-1. But Azerbaijan could not bring their reaction any further, and a new hit netted by Lam in the beginning of the third stage closed the score, having the Israeli ahead in the group, and heading for the Promotion final, something they will need to confirm with a new victory tomorrow.
Goals: 1-0: Yatim, min. 7 (1); 2-0: Badash, min. 7 (1); 3-0: Iloz, min. 2 (1); 4-0: Badash, min. 0 (1); 5-0: Yatim, min. 0 (1); 6-0: Iloz, min. 9 (2); 6-1: Ramil, min. 1 (2); 7-1: Lam, min. (3)
