The 2010 champions got the trophy back after a blasting third period against Solothurn, in the final held last Friday at St. Jakob
BSC Chargers Baseland claimed the Swiss Cup back in the tournament’s final held last Friday at the Saint Jakob’s stadium, in Basel. The 2010 champions bent surprising BSC Solothurn in the decider to get hold of the trophy again, after last year saw Havana Shots Aargau push them out of the competition to finally seize the glory.
After a terribly balanced first two periods, the Basel-based side decissively unballanced things in the last one, in which a 5-2 run crushed BSC Solothurn expectations. Tobias Fumagalli, Dario Sailer, Marcio da Silva, Marco Röthlisberger and Daniel Baumann shared out the job to have the Cup flying back to their team’s hands.
