Europe has been a hot-bed for beach soccer for many years and that has bred a number of healthy and fun rivalries on the Old Continent. From the Euro Beach Soccer and its inception in 1998 to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups that have taken place on European on soil, there have been many chances for teams to play, fight, win, lose, avenge, and repeat, over the years. Most recently Spain and Russia have had battles, but the advantage has been going to the Russian as of late, while Spain has also developed a strong bond with Ukraine after the two teams played in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 – European Qualifier Jesolo in 2014 in a match that determined who went to the World Cup and who did not. Spain won that match on penalties, but in the final EBSL Group Stage in Siófok this year, Ukraine got revenge in a big way, defeating Spain 9-4. Estonia will their work cut out for them as well as they will be pitted against three familiar foes, and one who they knew as a fellow Division B team in 2014 before earning a spot in Division A, Hungary.
