Senegal reedit African crown!

The Lions of the Teranga roared loud and bent Mozambique to clinch their third consecutive CAF Beach Soccer AFCON

There is no unseating Senegal off the African throne. The Lions of the Teranga roared past Mozambique in the final of the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations they are hosting in Salt to claim a new continental crown, their third consecutive one.

The hosts hit first in the opening period, and managed to stay ahead ll the remainder of the game. Uganda managed to pull one back in the middle frame, but that was not enough against the three hits by Senegal.

Sylla’s lads managed to keep the biggest surprise of the competition under control, not letting the Mozambicans harm N’Diaye’s nets again, and solidly cruised to a new CAF Beach Soccer AFCON success.

Mozambique, in turn , could not round their magnificent performance in Salt, but will leave with the silver bronze and their brilliant first-ever qualification for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021.

Morocco clinch bronze

In the fight for the third place, the Moroccan National side managed to bent Uganda with a hard-fought 5-3 win, thus claiming the bronze and repeating their last CAF Beach Soccer AFCON result.

Although the berth at the FIFA was no longer at stake for the Lions of the Atlas, the El Hadaoui’s lads did not want to leave this year’s competition without getting themselves a place in the podium.
