Lokomotiv reaches Superfinal of the Russian league after winning the first qualifying stage, held in Volgograd
From 5p until 9p on June 19th, 2013 the Volgograd team, also known as Stalingrad, received guests on its home turf. Volgograd supporters packed the stadium, more than 2,500 spectators, and they all very much enjoyed the games. The stadium was at full capacity during the final day. The Russian National Championship is always played with a high level of competition, inviting the world´s best and undisputed leaders.
Defending champions Lokomotiv Moscow gave the rest of the contenders a first feel of how difficult it will be to dethrone him. The Muscovite seized the first ticket to the Superfinal, after clinching eight points in this first stage in the Russian Championship.
On the 26th until the 30th of June, 2013 the second qualifying stage of the Russian National Championship will be held in Samara, a traditional beach soccer city on the east bank of the Volga river. Eight teams will fight to earn one of the coveted tickets to the Russian Beach Soccer League Super Final, which will happen between the 17th and 21st of July in Moscow at the new beach sports center called ?Dynamo?.
