The final day of the Games sees the Azzurri take on Portugal for the top prize as France face Morocco for bronze
The final day of fixtures at the Mediterranean Beach Games has been decided in Patras 2019 as Portugal and Italy take a third win to face each other for the gold medal.
Portugal put eight goals past Syria to top Group A, whereas Italy scored nearly double that in their routing of Albania.
These defeats mean that Syria and Albania finish their groups in fourth, and will battle in the 7th-place play-off, their final opportunity at victory in Greece.
Morocco just edged past their hosts Greece by five goals to four to keep their hopes of a medal at the Games alive. An equally tight match between Libya and France saw Les Bleus snatch a 5-6 victory and take the second spot for the bronze medal play-off.
The best that the Greeks can now hope for is a 5th-place finish, and they will take on Libya on the final day of the Games, as both teams try to avoid 6th place.
