La Albirroja beat Nigeria by seven goals to three ahead of the global showdown in Asuncion
The hosts of the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup are in the process of warming up ahead of the biggest beach soccer show of all.
A friendly match against the Sand Eagles of Nigeria saw Paraguay see off their African opponents by seven goals to three.
The match took place at the auxiliary stadium of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee on Tuesday, as part of the preparations for the World Cup, which is to be held in the country from November 21 to December 1.
The goals for Paraguay came courtesy of Amado Rolón, Yoao Rolón, Valentín Benítez (2), Sergio Villaverde, Carlos Carballo and Gustavo Benítez, while Ogdzi, Zaki and Tale were on target for Nigeria.
Los Pynandi have another friendly match, against the recently crowned Copa Lagos champions, Senegal, on Thursday at 8pm.
Paraguay kick off their World Cup campaign on Thursday 21 November against the national team of Japan, who finished fifth in last week’s Intercontinental Cup Dubai, at the “Los Pynandi” World Cup stadium, located at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee.
