More than 250 players from 12 cities around the country took part in the event, organized by APF and CONMEBOL
Las weekend, in Asunción, the Asociación Paraguaya de Futbol and CONMEBOL hosted the first ever U20 Beach Soccer festival, with more than 250 players representing 12 cities in the country.
The Paraguay National coach, Guga Zloccowick, one of the persons ahead of this program, was highly impressed with the outcome of this festival: “I am really happy with this initiative, specially for the great number of players that have taken part in it. We have been able to see them in action, and this is very important for the future of both the National Team and the sport here in Paraguay.”
“It is a very significant step in the plan we APF and CONMEBOL have jointly penciled, with more U20 competitions coming up, and it makes us be really optimistic with the future of the sport in the region.”, he added.
Besides the games and training courses, the event was completed by the visit of a representation of the Brazil National Team, who presented the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Trophy to the participants.
