The club returned to the top of Estonian beach soccer for the first time since 2017
On August 20, a thrilling final day of matches we held in the Coolbet Rannaliiga Championship, where Nõmme BSC Olybet came out on top to lift the for the first time in five years.
In the first match, BSC Thunder Arvutitark, who were in second going into the final matchday, won 4-1 against BSC Pärnu, reducing the gap between them and leaders Nõmme BSC Olybet to three points.
Nõmme didn’t kick the day off in the best way, losing 5-0 to the reigning champions SK Augur Enemat, meaning that the race for the 2022 title went right down to the wire.
In the last game of the day, Nõmme BSC Olybet stepped up to take a 4-1 victory and earn their second Estonian championship in the club’s history.
SK Augur Enemat took silver medals, and Arvutitark ended the season in the third, with both teams accumulating 9 points. They were followed by BSC Pärnu with 3 points.
At the end of the game day, the individual awards were distributed. The title of the Top Scorer went to SK Augur Enemat player Ragnar Rump, who put away eight goals. Vaiko Tammevälja of Nõmme BSC Olybet, was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper, and Indrek Palm, another player from the new champions’ squad, was chosen as the league’s MVP.
In the 2022 season, the Estonian Beach Soccer Championship was played over two rounds. The first round was held as part of the international Baltic Sea Beach Soccer League, where the results from the matches between the Estonian teams were entered into the national league. The teams played the second round on August 20.
