…and Iran manages to get the last place in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Ravenna/Italy 2011!!
Japan ended up this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 – Asian Qualifier claiming the continental crown. The Ramos coached side, who has performed in an impeccable way this last stages of the tournament, could turn the score around in front of a noisy and vivid crowd who wanted their team, Oman, to keep the Cup at home.
After the big party they lived yesterday as getting their door open for the next edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Japan and Oman faced today to decide who the Continental Champions were, in the final of this Asian Qualifier. Hosts jumped onto the sand full boost, and Is’haq managed to push his side ahead with an early hit. That goal made the crowd mad, with 3.000 supporters cheering for that great beginning to the Asian throne.
Japan found it really difficult to fight against the Omani great shape and the power of the atmosphere, and it was impossible for them to put Salim into difficulties for a long stage. It was not until the last period in which Take could level the score, and left things as they were right after the kick-off. But at that moment, Japan found themselves in the right dynamics, and kept putting the Omani goal into siege until they managed the winner, thanks to Arakaki with little more than one minute to go.

Iran lives the dream!
It was not hard to predict that the battle for the last slot in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Ravenna Italy 2011 between Iran and UAE would be an all-out fight. Everyone knew that none of the teams with leave a single ball without fighting, a single meter to struggle for… The Beach Soccer entity of the two contenders left no other way out. Only one, though, could snatch the last place for the global appointment in next September. And this was Iran, who will take part in their fourth World Cup so far after edging their opponents 6-2.
The Iranian wanted to get things as favourable as possible the sooner the better. And fate seemed on their side when Mesigar managed to sweep the Persian ahead with a crossed low shot in the first minute of this 3rd/4th place final. The Iranian defensive capacity is one of their strongest weapons, and they stuck to it to suffer no harm during the whole first period, in which they even turned things more on their side with the second strike by Dara. Things were not running for the UAE at all.
Mendes’ side kept close, though, and they managed to shorten the distance by mid second period, thanks to M. Abbas. But Dara stroke back again for the 3-1 that left the advantage back in +2. The same happened when Mohd sent a free kick in for the 3-2 only to find Hassani, restore the gap. Ahmedzadeh, one of the Iranian finest, finished the game with an accurate penalty kick for the 5-2, and Dara completed his hat-trick and secured the presence of his team in Ravenna this summer.
