NC Beachsoccer and Domino’s win Ukrainian championships

Tuesday saw the finals of the national championships played in Kiev


NC Beachsoccer (men) and Dominos (women) are the Ukrainian National Beach Soccer Championship 2021 winners after playing the final matches against Artur Music and Mriya 2006 on Tuesday.

In the men’s competition, eight teams including a total of 16 foreign players from Brazil, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Belarus battled in the matches from 20 and 24 August.

Oleg Zborovskyi (NC Beachsoccer) won his tenth Ukrainian Championship, the first being way back in 2008.

NC Beachsoccer beat Artur Music in the final on 24 August to seal the title, and captain Andrij Evdokimov starred to score all three goals. German international Christian Biermann netted twice for Artur Music but it wasn’t enough to deny NC Beachsoccer.

Ukrainian internationals Pashko (2) and Voitok scored as Servit beat Molniya by three goals to two to seal third place.

Molniya did claim one trophy, as Roman Pazenko won Best Goalkeeper. Brazilian Jordan (Artur Music) was named Top Scorer with eight goals, while his countryman Brendo from NC Beachsoccer was awarded the MVP award.

In the women’s competition, the club from the capital beat the former European champions Mriya 2006 (Ananiev, Odessa region) in the final match with a scoreline of 2-1. The heroine of the match was Anna Shulga, who hit a double.

Maria Tikhonova excelled for the Odessa team while Domino’s Pizza goalkeeper Victoria Kislova made incredible saves in the dying minutes to keep the lead intact.

The bronze winner was Mriya -2 (Ananiev, Odessa region), who beat Servit from Kiev in the playoff for the third.

Olesya Malinovska (Mriya-2) was the Top Scorer of the tournament and Victoria Kislova (Domino’s Pizza) was recognised as the Best Goalkeeper.

The MVP of the Championship was Anna Shulga from Domino’s Pizza, while the award for the best beginner was Servit.
