The Karteros Beach Sports Center will host the beach soccer tournament
The draw for the group stage of the 3rd Mediterranean Games Heraklion 2023 was held today during the Chef de Mission Seminar.
The city of Heraklion in the greek island Crete, where the Mediterranean Games will take place, hosted the draw with the presence of the representatives of all the eight participating Olympic Committees.
Greece, top seeds in Group A given their status of hosts, were drawn with Spain (pot 2), Morocco (pot 3) and France (pot 4) while Portugal, as the best placed team in the Beach Soccer Worlwide national teams ranking, were drawn as top seeds of Group B with Italy (pot 2), Egypt (pot 3) and Libya (pot 4).
