With the aim to stick to the restrictions to be applied by the Moscow health authorities, the competition will kick-off today, 26 October
Due to the emergency Covid-19 restrictions applied in Russia later this week, and to avoid potential risks for the event, Beach Soccer Worldwide and the Local Organizing Committee, always in cooperation with the teams, have decided to alter the match schedule of the competition, which will now begin today, Tuesday 26 October, and will run for three days, with a double matchday (morning matches and evening matches) taking place on Wednesday.
The first games (straight to quarter-finals) will take place today (Tuesday) and the semi-finals and finals will be played tomorrow (Wednesday).
The main priority has been to keep the event alive and give the teams, who have gone to great effort to be here, the best conditions possible, always following the instructions implemented by the Moscow health authorities.
We want to thank the availability huge cooperation of the teams and their understanding in the face of such a difficult situation.
