The Spanish coach takes on his first international role at the age of 31

Llorenç Gómez has been officially unveiled as the new manager of the national team of Denmark. After having reached the 2022 Women’s Euro Winners Cup final with AIS Playas San Javier, Llorenç Gómez moves to the international stage to take the helm of De Rød-Hvide.

Llorenç, who was the 2018 World’s Best Player, has expressed his feeling on this appointment:

“I’m very happy and tremendously proud to have the opportunity to coach a national team in the sport that I love and that is practically everything in my life. Those who know me, know the passion and love I feel for beach soccer. I’ll try to give me best as always.”

Llorenç Gómez has already been working with the danish national team in Copenhagen, preparing for what’s to come this season:

“I’m very pleased to see how the lads have been assimilating all the concepts and applying them so quickly and effectively, and to see how they believe in what we’re trying to convey to them.”

The inaugural official assignment for Llorenç Gómez as the head of the Danish national team is none other than the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup European Qualifier in Baku, scheduled to take place from 2nd to 9th July. Moreover, the Danish squad will also partake in the European Beach Soccer League Division B later this year.
