The draw will take place this coming Tuesday, 27th August in Doha (10 am)
The final list of the participants at the coming World Beach Games 2019, to take place between the 11th and 16th of October, have been defined, and get ready now to find out their group stage opponents with the official draw to be held in Doha (Qatar) this coming Tuesday, August 27th, at 10 am local time.
After the first continental Qualifier, held in Salou (Barcelona) in May, the men’s national sides of Russia, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Ukraine confirmed their berth at the global beach multi-sports event. In the women’s competition, England, Spain and Russia achieved the qualification.
The African Beach Games, held in Cape Verde one month later, saw Senegal, defending African champions, and Morocco, take the ticket to the World Beach Games in the men’s pool, whereas Cape Verde will represent Africa in the women’s competition.
The Beach Soccer Worldwide Rankings were used to define the teams that would qualify from both Asia, South America ( together with the CONMEBOL ranking) and Oceania.
So, Iran, Japan and UAE, from Asia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, from the CONMEBOL region and Solomon Islands, from Oceania, will also be part of the sixteen sides hitting the sand of the stadium at Katara Beach. The Brazilian Women’s national side will represent South America, in turn.
The Concacaf region qualifiers, held in El Salvador, were the last to be held, and four teams qualified from there: Mexico, both men and women brilliantly claimed the cup in San Salvador, and will be accompanied by El Salvador (men’s) and USA (Women’s).
