The Magyar spend on week at the High Performance Centre in Sant Cugat (Barcelona), getting ready for the European Season
A more-competitive-than ever new European Season is almost upon us, and teams are saving no efforts to reach the kick-off at the Euro Beach Soccer League in their best shape. One of these sides is Hungary, who are looking forward to an excellent season this 2014 and are undergoing a demanding training to maximize their possibilities of doing so, especially in a summer in which they will be hosting the first ever Euro Beach Soccer League stage in the country, with the EBSL Siófok to take place next August.
Looking for the best option, and taking advantage of the mild climate by the Mediterranean, the Ughy-steered lads flew to Barcelona to hold a training camp for one week. The headquarters were set at the High Performance Centre in Sant Cugat (CAR Sant Cugat), just 15 kilometers north of Barcelona. There, the Magyar completed double and even triple daily training sessions, combining physical preparation, tactical training, and technical practice. As the head of the Hungarian side, Zsolt Izsvák, set very clear, “We have come here to work hard. We are not here on vacations”. And that’s exactly what they have been doing, working really hard…
Besides the training sessions, the Magyar National Team rounded their week in Catalunya with two friendly games, against CF Vilanova, and Girona FC, with as many wins for the Hungarian, 3-5 and 4-8.
Hungary is not the only National Team to have taken advantage of the state-of-the art facilities of the CAR de Sant Cugat. Other national sides such as Japan, Netherlands, Iran or UAE have also enjoyed a privileged complex during last months.
