The semi-final bracket has been defined after Matchday 5 results
Paraguay and Brazil finished the group stage undefeated, and in the semi-finals the hosts will face Venezuela, while the title holders will play against Chile for a place in the final.
Group A
With braces from Néstor Median and Jesús Rolón, Paraguay beat Ecuador 5-3 in front of their own fans at the Estádio Mundialista Los Pynandi. Meanwhile, Argentina achieved their first win in the tournament by defeating Chile, who had already secured qualification. The 5-2 scoreboard gave the Argentinians the third place in the group.
Group B
An entertaining encounter between Brazil and Uruguay finished with a 6-4 result for the Seleção in a match where Igor and Deiwerson both scored braces. Peru secured the third place by winning 5-2 against Bolivia.
Teams will take a rest this Friday and return to action on Saturday for the semi-finals between Paraguay and Venezuela while Brazil face Chile. Bolivia and Ecuador will play for the ninth place, and the seventh position will be decided between Colombia and Uruguay.
On Sunday, Argentina face Peru to define the fifth place before the third place match and the final of the competition.
