The matches will be streamed live on the Beach Soccer Worldwide website
The final round of the German Beach Soccer Championship of the DFB will be held for the eighth time on the weekend of September 26 and 27, 2020 in the seaside resort of Warnemünde.
This year this sporting highlight of the beach soccer players will unfortunately take place without spectators. However, DFB-TV and Beach Soccer Worldwide will broadcast the games live and free of charge online.
In addition to Rostock Robben as defending champions, Ibbenbürener BSC, Beach Royals Düsseldorf and Real Münster also qualified for the German Beach Soccer Championship.
The preliminary round operation of the German Beach Soccer League took place this year in a compressed mode adapted to the framework conditions on three gameday weekends in Düsseldorf. Among all twelve teams, after nine unbeaten matches, Ibbenbürener BSC qualified first in the league season for the final tournament in Warnemünde.
There they will meet Real Münster, third-place finishers in the 2020 Euro Winners Cup, in the first semi-final on Saturday 26th September (11am), who were fourth in the final table. The Rostocker Robben, second in the league season, will meet the Beach Royals Düsseldorf in the second semi-final on Saturday (2pm), who qualified third for the finals.
The winners of the two games will determine the new German champion in the final on Sunday (2pm). Before that, the two losers of the semi-finals will play for third place at 11am.
As for the entire league, the health of everyone involved is the top priority at the final in Warnemünde. In addition to a strict hygienic concept developed for this purpose, the championship also takes place without spectators in order to reduce the possible risk of infection as much as possible.

Bugar: “Hopefully in front of full ranks again in 2021”
“Of course, we would have preferred to hold both the league and the final with spectators, as beach soccer is becoming increasingly popular. But we also want to make our contribution to minimising the avoidable risk of infection. That is why our focus this year is on the realisation of the German Beach Soccer Championship, but we are looking forward to hopefully playing in front of full ranks again in 2021”, says Erwin Bugar, Vice President for grassroots football at the DFB.
Matthias Fromm, Tourism Director Rostock & Warnemünde, adds: “The German Beach Soccer Championship is an outstanding sporting event every year with a high level of attractiveness for guests and locals. We are delighted that the DFB was able to successfully hold this year’s beach soccer season under the given conditions and Warnemünde is once again the venue for the final round of this exciting sport. I invite everyone interested to watch the live broadcast of the games on the internet.“
