Four players score for Les Bleus as they complete the 2 game sweep of England at home
The second of two friendlies between France and the Three Lions ended how the first one did, with a French victory. This match was played in front of a very packed stadium in Rennes. The two teams looked to be in midseason form, though the EBSL season does not officially start until June.
Wednesday was the first friendly between the two rivals and Les Bleus won by two goals, 7-5, the rubber match was also decided by two goals, this time it was France 5-3 England. The defenses clamped down but as is the case in most Beach Soccer matches, the exciting goals were still inevitable.
It is worth mentioning that the players and coach of Stade Rennais, the local Ligue 1 football team, were in attendance in the first game, showing their support for the French National team and also for their former teammate, Pagis. Pagis played for the Ligue 1 team for three seasons, from 2007-2010. He made the local team proud by scoring one of the five French goals.
France will begin their EBSL Division A season on June 20th at home in Valence. England will first play on the EBSL circuit in Siofok, Hungary from the 8th-10th of August.
