Switzerland and Belarus debut with victory, as the heads of the groups get clearer in Moscow
Piatrousky’s hat-trick help Belarus bend Turkey
Yuri Piatrousky was in hand today to help the Belarus Beach Soccer National Team begin the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup – Europe Qualifier Moscow in a very positive way. Three goals by the Belarusian number four had Nico Alvarado’s side running past Turkey for the first points at stake in group E.
Belarus had things under control since the very beginning. A 4-0 run in the first period is the best way you can find to make your first step in the competition, and from then on, the Belarusian managed that advantage efficiently.
The late reaction by the Turkish side midway into third period was not significant enough to change the status quo of the game, and Belarus bagged three points that virtually get them onto second round.
Goals: 1-0: Piatrouski, min. 9 (1); 2-0: Piatrouski, min. 7 (1); 3-0: Hapon, min. 7 (1); 4-0: Piatrouski, min. 2 (1); 4-1: Semih, min. 8 (2); 5-1: Bokach, min. 3 (2); 6-1: Hapon, min. 7 (3); 6-2: S. Ahmet, min. 7 (3); 6-3: Baris, min. 6 (3)
Another last-minute win sends Poland onto next round
Poland used exactly the same result than yesterday, a narrow 3-2 win, to seize six more points and confirm that they will be part of the Round of 16 in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup – Europe Qualifier Moscow. ANd they did so, again, when the time was almost over.
The Polish side bent Kazakhstan thanks to two goals in the last minute of the game, right after Muralinov and Demeschko had turned the score around after Madani’s opener.
After Poland could equalize before the end of the second period, nothing moved during the third, until Tomasz Pozniak gave the Polish side a new win over the hooter.
With six points, Poland will be one of the 16 teams fighting in the next round, and they will take on Italy on Sunday to decide who advances as the first in the group.
Goals: 1-0: Madani, min. 7 (1); 1-1: Muralinov, min. 11 (2); 1-2: Demeshko, min. 11 (2); 2-2: Madani, min. 1 (2); 3-2: Pozniak, min. 1 (2)
Second win for France in Moscow
France secured a place in the next round of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup with a solid win in their second match in the competition. François’ men overcame Moldova’s spirited approach and marched to the win after a shaky first period.
Just as he did yesterday, Victor Angeletti opened the score for Les Bleus, with Leblanc firing home the first of his hits today for France’s 2-0. Despite the French side seemed to be fairly in control of the situation, Telic put one back for the Moldovans to get just one goal behind.
A much more experienced France would not let that get worse, and widened the gap again midway into the second period. Wallon would take advantage of a mistake by the Moldovan’s to make it 4-1, and from that moment on, the French would feel absolutely in command.
Also paralleling what happened yesterday, Jeremy Bru closed the game with a third-period brace that certified France’s win today, their second in the tournament.
Goals: 1-0: Angeletti, min. 9 (1); 2-0: Leblanc, min. 4 (1); 2-1: Telic, min. 1 (1); 3-1: Leblanc, min. 6 (2); 4-1: Wallon, min. 2 (2); 5-1: Bru, min. 11 (3); 6-1: Bru, min. 5 (3); 6-2: Capsamun, min. 4 (3)
Tight win by Hungary over Germany have them onto next round
Germany and Hungary faced today acknowledging that the winner would secure a place in the next round of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup – Europe Qualifier Moscow. After a tight battle, that team was Hungary, who know how to resist the German last attempts to seize the three points at stake.
Viktor Fekete gave Hungary an early lead, immediately followed by Bartha, who doubled the lead to help the Magyar cruise to the first break 2-0 ahead. Biermann tried to lead the German reaction, and cut the distance in half as soon as the second period unfolded.
Everything was to be decided in the last frame, with the Mannschaft trying to equalize by all means. Instead, what Marrucci’s men found was a new hit by Fekete that restored the two-goal gap for the Magyar. Nothing seemed to work for the German side, who were facing an efficient defensive system. Biermann pulled another one back, but that was the end of the way for Germany, who fell one goal short and saw Hungary snatch the points and the ticket to next round. They will have a new opportunity tomorrow, though, in their game against Estonia.
Goals: 0-1: Fekete, min. 8 (1); 0-2: Bartha, min. 7 (1); 1-2: Biermann, min. 11 (2); 1-3: Fekete, min. 9 (3); 2-3: Biermann, min. 1 (3)

It took not even two minutes for the Portuguese goal shower to begin, with youngster Ruben Brillante opening the score for the Lusitanians. After that, André Lourenço and Leo Martins made it 3-0 before the end of the first period.
That was just the beginning, though, as the Team of The Quinas would keep drilling the Norwegian nets once and again, until the score was 11-0. Li had the audacity to score for Norway, and that was immediately replied by André Lourenço for the final 12-1.
