San Salvador hosts a multitudinous Beach Soccer Congress, with representatives from the 41 CONCACAF Member Associations and Beach Soccer Worldwide
The Beach Soccer heartbeat is very strongly felt in CONCACAF. This is something that is in full display in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier El Salvador (CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship El Salvador 2015), but that goes far beyond that.
Between 1st and 4th April, FIFA and CONCACAF are hosting an impressive Beach Soccer Development Seminar, involving more than 200 participants, representing the 41 Member Associations in CONCACAF. Beach Soccer Worldwide is also very present, with executive vice-president and FIFA Beach Soccer Committee Member Joan Cusco and Deputy Vice-president Gabino Renales. Other experts in the sport, such as beach soccer star and FIFA Instructor Ramiro Amarelle, also offered their view on the growth of the sport.
Main topics under discussion are the keys to develop the sport both in emerging and progressing markets, the importance of the National Championships, the growth and support of Women Beach Soccer, and how to utilise the natural resources and the joint efforts to help beach soccer grow with a solid and steady foundations.
The first steps, though, were made real clear by most of the presenters: “Let’s start playing”!
