BSWW and CAF hold site a inspection in Sharm El Sheikh to analyze the progress of the stadium and the different areas ten days ahead the continental showpiece
The CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2018 is quickly approaching; meanwhile, CAF and Beach Soccer Worldwide are maximizing efforts to make sure everything is ready for the continental showdown.
This week, Josep Ponset, Director of Competitions at Beach Soccer Worldwide, has been in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt), the venue of the competition, to analyze, together with CAF, the progression of the operations regarding the stadium, the official hotel and the different areas of the event.
Over the last fews days, Ahmed Salem, Manager of the CAF’s Competition Division, and Mr Ponset, went through all the different aspects involved in the competition, which will take place between the 8th and the 14th of December in the beach in front of the Laguna Vista hotel, and certified that everything is on track.
Ponset highlighted that “Everything is going in the right direction, and we are sure that we will have a great Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in this wonderful venue”.
Hosts Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Morocco and Madagascar, in Group A, as well as defending champions Senegal, Nigeria, Libya and Tanzania, in group B, will be squaring off for one of the two spots in the coming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2018.
