Group A
Winning ways continue for GD Sesimbra
GD Sesimbra win 5-2 against AO Keffalinia.

It took seven minutes of the first period to find a goal and it went the way of GD Sesimbra, and it was Canana who was the goal scorer. Canana calmly curled the ball into the far-right hand side of the goal to give his side the lead. B made it 2-0 with a long powerful shot which bounces right in front of the Kefallinia keeper and goes right over him. Sesimbra took a two-goal lead into the second period.

During the opening moments of the second period, GD Sesimbra had a player down after a collision which stopped the player for a couple of minutes due to the player being stretchered off the sand. With four minutes played, Kefallinia halved the scoreline with a goal from Triantafyllidis after the first two efforts came back off the bar and luckily for Kefallinia it dropped to their own player to tap into an empty net.

The Greek side equalised in the opening minute of the third period through Faros after a corner was delivered to his feet and he fired it in. Seconds after an equaliser, Sesimbra went to the other end and Rui Santos scored to put them back in front.
With five minutes left of play, Gustavo D of Sesimbra scores to make it 4-2. Kiko scored another goal for Sesimbra with just over a minute of time left to play. The game concluded with GD Sesimbra winning five goals to three which should see Sesimbra progress through to the knockout stages.

CF Chelas back on track
CF Chelas defeat Naxos BS 6-1.

It took until the ninth minute of the first period for a goal and it goes in favour of Naxos BS via a free kick from Barone. The free kick was softly struck but it bobbled underneath the keeper who will be furious he didn’t save it. Naxos took a 1-0 led into the second period.

The second period saw an early goal by CF Chelas from Fred as they equalise to make the game 1-1. With two minutes of the period left, Chelas took the lead through João Diogo as they took a 1-2 lead into the last 12 minutes.

Chelas increase their lead through Dmytro and which saw them 1-3 ahead with five minutes left to play. Dmytro scored three quick goes to take his tally up to four for the day. This finished the game off for Naxos as the score ended 1-6 to CF Chelas.

Group B
GD Alfarim move into second spot
GD Alfarim beat Armia Tbilisi 7-1.

A very good start for Alfarim as Dias fires home to make it 1-0 to the Portuguese team. Seven minutes in and Alfarim got a free kick just to the left of the goal, Cláudio struck it sweetly and it went straight in with nothing the Tbilisi goalkeeper could do. A third goal arrived for Alfarim a great team goal as they kept the ball in the air with the final ball being flicked over the keepers head and gently nodded in at the back post by Correia. Justino made it 4-0 to Alfarim via a penalty making it an uphill climb for Tbilisi.


Five minutes into the second period, Vitor scored to make it 5-0. A consolation goal for Tbilisi from Berechikidze reduces the lead to four after he slammed the ball from close into the back of the net.

The final period saw two more goals from Alfarim with Mendes and Correia topping off a 7-1 victory for the Portuguese side.

Shootout glory for GD União Ericeirense
GD União Ericeirense win 4-1 on penalties against ACD O Sótão B, after a 3-3 draw in the match.

A great start local side Sótão put themselves into the lead through a great bit of composure from Francisco to keep his nerve and slot the ball past the goalkeeper who was rushing towards him.

Francisco attempted a bicycle kick however was fouled in the process. With the resulting free kick he powered the ball under the goalkeeper and into the net to make it 2-0 to see out the first period.

The second period started off with an own goal from Sótão’s Samuel to bring Ericeirense back into the game. In the eighth minute, Ericeirense equalise through Merendas.

Sótão took the lead halfway through the final period via a goal from Alfonso however, one minute before the end of time Rafiti scored to take the game into overtime. No side managed to breakthrough so the game went to penalties. Ericeirense won penalties 3-1 to go to the top of the group.

Group C
Leixões SC hit double digits again
Leixões SC triumph 14-1 over RFC Perwez.

Three early goals by Matheus, Trivelas and Rúben given Leixões a 3-0 lead before Santo Pereira scored to reduce the deficit to 3-1 as the first period concluded.


Matheus grabbed a hat trick to make it 5-1 to Leixões before Telmo, Pedrinho and Trivelas added to the goals. Going into the 3rd period, Leixões have an 8-1 advantage with just 12 minutes of the match remaining.

Miguel Junior scored a brace and Ramalho scored as Leixões scored 11 in their first game of the tournament. Goals from Carlos Dinis and Simões reduce the lead however it was too little too late for Pinheiros.

Casa Benfica Viseu capture first three points
Casa Benfica Viseu win 10-1 against CR Pinheiros.

The game started with some early chances from Casa Benfica to take the lead with two shots cleared off the line by Pinheiros but great defending and clearances by Pinheiros’ managed to shut them out but only for another minute as Milton scores in the second minute. Casa Benfica’s goalkeeper Carlos F took a shot from distance which managed to find it’s way into the back of the net to double Casa Benfica’s lead to 2-0. Casa Benfica continued to great chance after chance in the first period as they work the play well only to miss an empty goal by putting it over the bar. With one minute left of the first period, Pereira shapes up for the bicycle kick which flies in to give his team a 3-0 lead to take into the second period.

Two minutes into the second period and Casa Benfica grab a fourth through a curling shot into the right-hand side of the goal by Sagas. The goalkeeper stood and watched the ball go in. CR Pinheiros managed to nick a goal back through Santo Pereira in the fifth minute to keep their hopes alive. Casa Benfica restore their four goal led through Milton after a bad touch by Pinheiros goalkeeper allowing Milton to tap the ball into an empty net.

As the third period started Sagas grabbed his brace and Casa Benfica’s sixth of the game. Less than a minute later Lucas sets himself up for a bicycle kick which loops over the goalkeeper and into the goal. Sagas completed his hat trick after firing the ball past the goalkeeper of Pinheiros who had no chance of saving it. Moments later it was that man Sagas again to make it 9-1. Milton adds to the goals to also complete his hat trick as the game ends 10-1 to Casa Benfica Viseu.

Group D
SM Jalles get points on the board
SM Jalles beat São Domingos 4-3.

It was a stalemate in the first period as both sides attack as neither team could find a goal. Both sides had chances with shots either just wide of the target or a shot off the bar.

The second period saw goals and three of them. Two quick goals from São Domingos as Serginho got fouled by the goalkeeper for a penalty and moments later a goal by Pablo to see his side two goals up. SM Jalles halved the scoreline with a goal through D’Oliveira as the second period closed.

As the third period kicked off it was São Domingos who increased their lead by two goals as Letras added his name to the scoresheet to give São Domingos a 3-1 lead. One minute later SM Jalles scored through Darracq to give his team hope they could comeback. With one minute left on the clock, Darracq equalises. Moments later it was that man Darracq again to give SM Jalles the 4-3 win and a great comeback.

FC Genappe secure second win
FC Genappe triumph 3-2 over Porto Mendo.

As the first period kicked off it was FC Genappe who had the better of the chances and they were rewarded with the opening goal coming from Maistriaux in the opening four minutes. With moments of the first period to play, Genappe grabbed a two-goal lead to take into the second period from Ennya.

The second period concluded with Porto Mendo having the better of the chances. Miguel F took a free kick and struck it with some power to go underneath the Genappe keeper to half Genappe’s lead into the final period of the game.

Genappe had it all to do in the final period to hold onto the lead, Miguel F equalised for Porto Mendo through a lovely double chested volley into the bottom corner and past the keeper. In the dying moments of the game FC Genappe found a winner Vlaminck. A second yellow card for Maistriaux in the last seconds of the game however FC Genappe held on to win 3-2.

Group E
First victory for Portsmouth BS
Portsmouth BS win 4-3 against AD Pastéis.

As the first period concluded, no side managed to make a breakthrough with both sides evenly matched, Portsmouth goalkeeper Freire produced some stunning saves to keep the English team from going behind.

It took until the 10th minute of the second period for a breakthrough and it was a goal for Portsmouth by O’Rourke after a great challenge on the last defender to fire past the goalkeeper in the Pastéis net. With a minute left on the clock, Pastéis equalised through a penalty to keep the scores equal going into the final 12 minutes of the game.

Wins continue for Vila Flor
Vila Flor BS beat Cevennes 3-2.

The first period of the game and Vila Flor started off with a goal inside the first two minutes from Jose Henrique followed by a goal by Andre to give Vila Flor a two-goal lead going into the second period.

Cevennes managed to halve the scoreline through Laurent and a well struck penalty straight down the middle. The keeper chose to dive to his right-hand side. 15 seconds later Vila Flor retook their 2 goal lead through some complacency at the back from Cevennes which saw Andre take advantage and put the ball in the net.

Into the third period and with less than one minute left, Cevennes score a goal from Martins however it wasn’t enough to take the game into overtime and Vila Flor on course to progress to the knockouts.
