The quest for European glory continues in Batumi
Batumi is set to welcome eight of Europe’s finest as the second stage of the Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 – Division A kicks off this Friday, 18 July.
Following a thrilling curtain-raiser in Andalucía, where Spain lifted the title, the Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 now shifts to Georgia’s vibrant coastal city for another weekend of top-tier action. With momentum building, the battle for points and a place in the Superfinal intensifies.
The current standings after Stage One in Andalucía see Spain leading the table, followed closely by France, but trail slightly on goal difference. Portugal and Ukraine both sit on 6 points, with Poland and Germany just behind on 3. Georgia are yet to get off the mark, and will be looking to turn things around on home sand. With more teams yet to make their debut this season, including Switzerland, Czechia, Belarus, and Estonia, the race to the Superfinal is still wide open.

Eight nations will be in action this week:
Group A: Portugal, Switzerland, Estonia, and hosts Georgia
Group B: Belarus, Czechia, Germany, and Türkiye
Each team in Division A competes in two group stage events during the regular season, earning cumulative points toward Superfinal qualification, meaning every match in Batumi will carry significant weight in shaping the overall EBSL standings.

Teams took to the sand for their official training sessions today, making final preparations ahead of the first whistle on Friday. The atmosphere is already electric as players and coaches fine-tune their strategies in anticipation of the fierce competition to come.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Batumi’s cityscape, the Beach Arena promises a weekend of high energy and elite competition, as Europe’s beach soccer best take centre stage once again.
